Terms and Conditions

Definitions

"PWP"- refers to the company known as Pagan Wedding Planners.
"The Event"- refers to the Handfasting/Civil ceremony.
"The Client"- refers to the person paying all invoiced costs

Please note that all clients, by signing our booking form are required to abide by the terms and conditions below. In addition, the payment of the £300 non-refundable deposit assumes understanding and compliance with these terms and conditions.

1. A £300 non-refundable deposit is payable at time of booking. Cheques should be made payable to Pagan Wedding Planners. An official confirmation letter will be sent at this time which will secure the date of your Handfasting ceremony.

2. The balance of £300 is due, in full, no later than one month before the Handfasting.

3. If invoices are not paid within the payment terms, this will cause delay in the proceeding of the event.

4. Services in addition to the Basic Handfasting are invoiced at £20 per hour.

These charges reflect the time spent dealing with matters on your behalf, such as travelling time, correspondence, telephone calls, research, etc. This final invoice will be due for payment no later than 14 days after the date of the Handfasting.

5. For handfastings/ceremonies outside of the Glastonbury area a petrol charge of 45p per mile will be levied to cover transport costs.

6. For handfastings/ceremonies requiring an overnight stay, the Client will provide, at their expense, overnight accommodation for the priest/priestess subject to negotiation at the time of booking.

7. The Client should be aware that some Handfasting venues charge an entry fee per head for and also have limits on the number of people attending. The Client should therefore ensure that PWP attendees are included in the final number given to the venue. All PWP entry fees to be covered by the Client.

8. PWP are happy to liaise with contractors and service providers, however, the contract will exist between the Client and the contractor/provider. Therefore all invoices will be sent direct to the Client who remains responsible for the payment of these services.

9. It is our practice to confirm quotations, estimates with you, and prior to putting any orders, on your behalf, in place.

10. When communicating with us you may do so by, telephone, letter or email. It is our practice to deal with all enquiries as promptly as possible.

11. Data Protection/Confidentiality

We may hold your personal details (name, address etc.) on computer. These details are used to provide administrative back up PWP. If you have any objection to your personal details being held on computer, you should advise PWP in writing. The firm maintains the highest respect for client confidentiality at all times.

12. Invoicing

The client is invoiced by PWP only for services provided by us. Invoices from contractors and services, relating to the event, will be payable direct to the provider concerned. If invoices are not paid within the payment terms, this may cause delays in the progress of the Event.

13. Cancellation Fees

The £300 deposit is non-refundable. If the Handfasting is cancelled by the Client between 6-12 months prior to the date there will be a charge of 20% of the outstanding balance, anything cancelled less than 6 months prior to the Event and the charge will be 50%.

All cancellations must be made in writing.

14. For large scale Events PWP recommend that Clients take out some form of Wedding Insurance (please ask for our fact sheet)

NB: All information given is correct at time of printing. PWP take no responsibility for changes in pricing made by providers/contractors. In the event of taxation changes beyond the control of PWP (eg, changes in VAT etc), we reserve the right to alter the prices quoted to an extent, which reflects these charges.
